Seaman 2 Scans (PS2)

January 19, 2007

Juexfrance have got some new scans featuring Seaman 2 for the PS2.

Although Seaman’s been replaced with a caveman, the gameplay does looks alot more involving, and deeper than simply feeding your virtual pet.

From what I gather from the scans, you can directly interact with Sea/cave man by picking him or flicking him, and you can appearently modifiy the surrounding enviroment. Of course this is all in addition to voice interaction via the included controller with a built-in mic.

Ryu ga Gotoku 2 Famitsu Scores

November 29, 2006

The Yakuza sequel, Ryu ga Gotoku, has recently been reviewed in the latest issue of Famitsu, and it’s gotten some very impressive scores.

The game scored 9 – 10 – 9 -10 (38/40), which is pretty impressive. I’m not one to really put much interest into Famitsu’s scores, but I’m still impressed that the game got such a score, with two 10’s. Maybe the reviewers were just really impressed by the launch goodies.

Yakuza/Ryu ga Gotoku was one of my favorite games of last year, it was an extremely well done beat ’em up. I certainly can’t wait for the next, but I’m hoping that Sega will actually release it. And who knows, maybe this time we’ll get it without the semi-horrible voice acting. :p

Wii Virtual Console > Sega Genesis Collection?

November 23, 2006

Although I haven’t personally played SEGA’s Wii Vitural Console game or Genenis Collection on the PS2, I’m reading online that one emulates better than the other.

Appearently, Genesis Collection has many sound glitches, and it doesn’t display the games in the correct aspect ratio. While the games on the Wii Virtual Console (I almost wrote Virtua Console) to  seem to emulate perfectly and are diplayed in the correct screen ratio. Either way, one should consider that the equivalent number of Genesis/Megadrive VC titles cost more than the price of the Genesis Collection, although on the Wii you can buy them seprately.

Official Sonic the Hegdehog (PS3/Xbox360) Gamesite Opens

October 11, 2006

The official gamesite for next-gen Sonic the Hedgehog has been opened. It’s got the usual gamesite stuff, media, pics, vids etc.  They’ve also got a link where you can preoder the game, and also an on-site music player that plays three tunes from the game (which I actually think are great).
